Following its October release, buyers of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault were wondering when they would be able to take advantage of their Cross-Buy title and grab their “free” Vita version. The title was initially delayed to a January release for reasons unknown to us. January came and went with no Full Frontal Assault in sight, leaving fans pondering the game’s second delay. Sony returned to a while later to announce that the game was still in development for the Vita and as compensation, anybody who purchased the PS3 version – at retail or on PSN – would receive Ratchet: Deadlocked HD for free alongside their Vita version. Yesterday, Insomniac Games announced that Full Frontal Assault will be making its way to the PlayStation Vita next week. read more…
Think back. Remember the first time you went to Summer Camp? Your parents dropped you off even though you may not have wanted to go. You were forced to meet new people and make some friends along the way? What about that time you saw that Sasquatch from across the stream? Wait, that didn’t happen to you? Well, that’s what happens to Jacob Jones in the first part of his five-part episodic adventure: Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery – Episode 1: A bump in the night. read more…
It’s too bad Deathstroke’s comic got canceled after it’s 20th issue last week, because his character is about to gain an explosion of popularity. The first teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins is out and it shows off Batman and Deathstroke in one on one, CGI action. It looks awesome and I can’t wait. The full trailer is four days away, and we’ll have it for you when it goes live. Batman: Arkham Origins is set to be released October 25th on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U and PC (and not on next gen consoles).

For the past week, Sony has been teasing a secret announcement by way of a countdown on a website for something titled “Panopticon.” The countdown hit zero just a few moments ago and the site went live with a trailer for Sony’s upcoming exclusive, Panopticon. At the time of this writing, we’re not entirely sure what this game is about. However, from what we can tell, it takes place in a futuristic society, has monsters, and involves some form of government oppressing its people. No platforms have been announced yet. Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan’s website for Panopticon marks a new date below the trailer, May 21, 2013. It’s probably safe to say we’ll hear more about this mysterious title then. In the mean time, check out the trailer below.

Twitch.TV is fast becoming one of the biggest gaming media sites on the internet, and it just took a huge step in bringing their game to the next level. Twitch.TV has launched an App on Xbox Live, so now you can watch some of your favorite game streamers on your TV. Featuring what they have determined to be the Top 300 streamers on the site, the Twitch.TV app will let you watch people like Day9tv and Team Sp00ky stream their favorite games. It’s kind of crazy seeing games like League Of Legends, World Of Warcraft and Starcraft II sort of being played on an Xbox 360, and it feels kind of creepy sliding into female streamers channels and staring at them on my TV, but hey, it is what it is. Hopefully the App expands fast because limiting to only the Top 300 channels is kind of weak to me. I know a lot of great Battlefield 3 streamers like our friend Wally (whose channel you can check out here) who I would much rather watch. I understand that it may be a memory thing where you can’t have every single channel listed under every game (even though Netflix manages to have a bajillion movies available), but at least add a search function where I can type in the channel name and go there. I know I can just join Wally’s Xbox Live Party to hear him rage, but it seems like he’s the exact type of player that should be featured to help build up his channel. Baby steps, though. There is no doubt that this is a killer start for the app, though, so hopefully it only grows from here. Below you will find a little preview of the app in which I creep on different Twitch channels like a champ. The app is free and available now on Xbox Live.

The folks at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts will be throwing a killer Rock and Shock style party in two weeks, and everyone in New England should be there. There will be a ton of cool stuff going on, with celebrity guests, auctions and prizes. Admission is as low as $5 (but a bigger donation encouraged) and all proceeds go to the One Fund Boston in support of the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing. Being from the Boston area, this one has some special meaning for me, and I hope everyone in the area has a chance to make it out. To purchase tickets in advance, click here. More details after the break.
OK, it’s official: I finally have a reason to get a Wii U. Yes, I am serious. I have never played a Scribblenauts game before, mostly due to a lack of interest and certainly not because I thought it would be bad. I just never felt all that inspired to do so. Throw in some DC Comics goodness and I am all in. I am really disappointed this is only going to be on the Wii U and PC, but in a way, I am OK with it, because I’ve been looking for a reason to get a Wii U and here it is. The next big sale I see, I’m in! The first trailer is below, and what excites me is the fact that we see a lot of characters that we otherwise haven’t seen in games like LEGO Batman. Anti-Monitor, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Black Hand… how cool is that? The game is set to come out this fall and you can check out the press release, screen shots and trailer after the break. I think this is going to be awesome!

Today, GRIP Games revealed their latest project, Atomic Ninjas, a 2.5D action platformer that will be making its way to the Vita and PS3 later this Summer. You might recognize the developer’s name from last year’s Foosball 2012 which saw a release on both the PlayStation 3 and Vita as a Cross-Buy title. Atomic Ninjas will come complete with multiplayer support on the PlayStation 3 or if you’re more of a loner, you can go the single-player route on either platform.
Save files can be carried across version, implying that Ninjas will support the Cross-Save feature like titles with a similar feature set have in the past.
Games in Atomic Ninja are played out in a one of seven modes with staples such as Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, and Treasure Hunt among them. In Atomic Ninja, you’ll need to utilize the environment to the best of your ability because killing each other outright is restricted. This means various environmental hazards will come into play when trying to defeat the advancing enemy forces.
Atomic Ninjas will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita later this Summer.

A new vault hunter has arrived into the wastelands of Pandora and his name is Krieg. It’s an exciting day for fans of Borderlands 2, as Krieg the Psycho is the sixth playable character for the game and adds a crazy new spin on the game. Krieg has a number of skills that reward fairly reckless gameplay and it makes for a pretty intense play style. His primary kill skill is a melee attack called Buzz Axe Rampage and during this attack, he does +500% melee damage and increased movement speed. Every kill you get while in Buzz Axe Rampage restores your health and taking damage while outside of it increases the regeneration speed of the skill. So basically, you get to play the game like your name is John fucking Rambo, guns blazing, with total disregard of everything going on around you. Eventually, there is a skill called Light the Fuse which will let you chuck explosives at enemies while you are in Fight For Your Life. So basically, you always want to be near death. Crazy, right?
There are three videos below. The first shows off the fact that Krieg is in fact available now, the second shows off some of his skins and heads, and the third shows off some gameplay. I’m only at a level 13 so far, so many of the better skills remain to be seen, so stay tune for more as I level up throughout the day. Krieg has been a lot of fun so far, and his bandit speak for banter is quite amusing as well. Krieg is not a part of the Season Pass, which is a sore spot for most, but a subject for another type. He is, however, $10 (800MSP) and is available now on Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Steam. Enjoy!

**WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED IRON MAN 3 OR THE AVENGERS**
***THESE OPINIONS ARE BASED SOLEY FROM WATCHING THE MOVIES***
It has been a week since the US release of Iron Man 3 and there have been many opinions on Tony Stark’s character, ranging from his use of guns to the lack of him being in the suit. I, however, believe that the change from ultra egotistical, overzealous, billionaire to an anxiety prone, self-conscious man. Iron Man 3’s purpose was for the audience to see the true character of Tony stark, a man who did not know who he was. read more…
It’s strange that The Great Gatsby has been so heavily marketed to women. Because, this film doesn’t cater to the sensibilities of female driven “romantic” films at all. The movie revolves mostly around men. Mostly rotten manipulative men trying desperately to control their little corners of their world… and failing at doing so. And, the women that populate the film are almost non-entities, and seem to be objects of control for these characters. And, in the middle of it all is a guy who used to be writer. read more…
