In a most rare occasion, Codemasters has peeked their heads out to update us on what they’re doing by way of CVG. The publisher’s Guildford, England-based studio has begun work on a new intellectual property which is confirmed to be a shooter. Codemasters has brought in industry-veteran talent for the project, including the senior designer on the once-stunning Black game.

The talent in question is Stuart Black – a most fitting name for the game he once worked on – and his role is simply to “direct the vision” of the new project. Other cameos for this new undertaking include former Sony director Tom Gillo and Split/Second producer Andrew Wilson.

We’ll try to get more details to you about this new IP as soon as we hear word about it.
