Is Deus Ex: Human Revolution An Entirely New Game?

Deus Ex 3 has been in the works for a while now, with publisher Square Enix announcing it was in the works for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but today they registered for a new trademark: Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I’m not sure if they are registering this trademark to use as a supplementary title for Deus Ex 3, a new Deus Ex game, or if they’re even registering it for a game at all. Trademark registrations don’t always spell new game, but we can only dream.

We do know that Square was talking about another Deus Ex game a while back, though, so it’s not far-fetched to assume that this could be it.  We’ll try to shed more light on this as the day goes on.
