Pretty cool to see something like be done. The Naruto mountain statues of the 5 Hokages was recreated for fans and tourists that visiting the city of Naruto in Tokushima. Animenewsnetwork reports: The city of Naruto in Tokushima Prefecture hosted several projects this summer to attract tourists who are fans of Masashi Kishimoto's mangaNaruto. One attraction was a replica of the Hokage Rock — the rock-carved, Mount Rushmore-esque monument to the leaders of the Hidden Leaf Village in the mang...
  • Grave of Fireflies Animator Dies. Anime Movie Below
    by Khalid
    Posted September 2nd, 2010 at 4:06 pm
This news kind of shocked me today as I was passing through my anime feed. The key animator to one of my favorite anime's Shojuro Yamauchi has sadly passed away. Reported by writer/director Akitaro Daichi via his twitter account. I think there isn't much we can do but pay our respects by watching his genius work and spreading the word. This is part of his legacy towards his fans. You can watch the movie Grave of Fireflies below. Via Anime Expo: Yamauchi has also worked as a key animator ...
  • Bleach Manga 418 Spoilers
    by Khalid
    Posted September 1st, 2010 at 12:35 pm
Along with Naruto is another big hitter spoiler we look forward to in Bleach every week. I don't think there's anything out there more interesting than the battle going on between [new and improved] Ichigo and Aizen. Something seems to tell me we're near an end for the series, but who knows? Read the spoilers and see for yourself if what I'm saying sounds about right, or just plain nonsense. Aizen talks a lot. Ichigo is composed. They fight without speaking. A rocky mountain in the dis...

  • New Extended Trailer For Naruto Shippuden Movie 4: The Lost Tower
    by Khalid
    Posted August 3rd, 2010 at 5:12 am
I'm not too keen on Naruto Movies as they can be as cliche as the word allows them to be, but there's something about them that interests others. The fact it's not cannon and pretty much one big filler filled higher budget episode, puts me off. But in the words of Marc, "I digress" cause there's room here for more love than hate when it comes to the yellow haired ninja. The movie has just premiered in Japanese theatres and to go along with the launch, a new featured trailer has been released to ...
  • Fairy Tail Impressions + First Episode
    by Stephen Batts
    Posted July 27th, 2010 at 10:19 am
As a die-hard fan of anime that has watched his fair share of good and bad, I have gotten insanely good at judging anime either by the opening credits or the first 15 minutes of the first episode. Without even having a chance to put up this mentality, Fairy Tail captured me from the first scene. The animation is both gorgeous and colorful, and the characters are vibrant with humor and extremely different personalities. There are two main characters in this anime, even though there are so ma...
  • Bleach Episodes In HD Added To Crunchyroll
    by Khalid
    Posted July 24th, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Bleach, Bleach, Bleach; arguably, one of the top 3 Shonen animes out there along with Naruto and One Piece has now been added to the Crunchyroll roster for premium members! Why is this good news? Well, you might be wondering since, you can pretty much find the anime out there on various sites. However, Crunchyroll provides HD streaming for their loyal users, and not only that, but they update the site with the latest episodes approximately one hour after it's aired in Japan. Pretty cool right?...
  • Gantz Live Action Movie Trailer
    by Khalid
    Posted July 23rd, 2010 at 12:01 pm
Gantz, one of my favorite animes, and the one that gave me the name Yuzo kun of AH -- after the infamous weird dude that kept on saying it randomly -- has released it's first debut trailer to the live action movie set to be released next year. The movie will have a great plot, just as long as the script stays loyal to the characters and unpredictability of the series. What I mean by that? You just gotta check it out yourself or read the review here and check the trailer! ...
  • Gantz Review + First Episode
    by Khalid
    Posted July 23rd, 2010 at 11:45 am
Choosing the right anime could be overwhelming at times with the huge range of diversity they come in. Personally I hate doing it, but periodically comes a time when I just have to because I get so bored with the current one’s I’m watching (not including Bleach). I usually check out forums and posts of people who say that they watched a certain anime and it’s their favourite. This happened with how I came about checking out Gantz. It was a choice between Gantz and Mushishi, the latter bein...

EA & BioWare have announced that they will be making a Dragon Age anime, which is set for release next year. EA also have a Dragon Age game coming out next year, so it is possible that this game will tie in with the planned Anime. The film’s being created by FUNimation Entertainment, a US anime distributor, but Bioware EP MarkDarrah and creative director Mike Laidlaw are executive producing. “Anime is a great medium for us to continue the robust Dragon Age story,” said Darrah....

  • Free Album “C.B Tv – Endless Waltz”
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted February 22nd, 2010 at 2:30 pm
Every once awhile we run across music that is extremely innovative. Just like the Team Teamwork Ocarina of Rhyme we ran into the Endless Waltz by C.B Tv. All tracks are produced by C.B Tv himself and the whole album is anime inspired. The title Endless Waltz is named after a Gundam Wing movie but it also has a deeper meaning, you will understand after completely listening to the album. Check out C.B Tv website for some more goodness and support the movement. Download - C.B Tv – Endless Waltz...
  • Bleach so… silly
    by Khalid
    Posted September 27th, 2009 at 9:57 am
Let me start of my by saying that this whole article will be filled with spoilers, so don't read on if you don't want to know what happens as it is based on the Manga. My main issue with this series is the whole level of inconsistency from the writer Kubo Tite. At times I feel he goes by a strict code of "good people aren't allowed to die" which always makes everything seem so predictable. The arcs and fights that have me concerned are mainly the ones involving the Espada's and their rank. ...
  • Naruto Shippuden will invade Disney XD
    by Khalid
    Posted September 10th, 2009 at 11:48 pm
It seems like there is no stopping Disney lately. After their takeover of Marvel they seem to be running at an all time high. So much will prosper from that deal and this one here. Starting next month, Disney will show all the Naruto shippuden episodes in it's primarily aimed boys channel Disney XD. Naruto Shippuden carries on two and half years after the valley of death arc with an all grown up cast. The theme is a bit darker and grittier than before. While currently homeless in the US due to n...
  • EAS: Epic Anime Scenes
    by Khalid
    Posted September 10th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Since the site has changed up a bit and we're all wearing our emo gear, I figured I'll tag along as well. This isn't the same as AWF as in it won't be so Bleach, Naruto and One Piece bias but rather from every anime I've encountered. While fights can get us entertained, I think the great scenes are the ones which capture and draw us into wanting to watch more. A while back, I acquired the 3 seasons of Zero no Tsukaima (Zero's familiar). While this had to be the most inconsistent anime I've ev...
