Fighting spot, the only section that brings you a compilation of recent rumours, helpful tips and news all into a bundled post. Starting up first was the grand finals to the Afroshoto event in which Justin Wong and Mike Ross (4th place Evo 2010) went at it. The event that had a real live band playing in the back, was really entertaining and fun to watch; very different. On to next news; latest scans from the Arcadia magazine show hints of the upcoming 2 fighters that will be added to Super St...
  • Madden NFL Superstars (Facebook) Impressions
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted September 1st, 2010 at 8:16 am
It's been around a month and a half since Madden NFL 11 hit store shelves and EA's already boasting the accolades we knew they'd rack up with it (with the most important - to them - being that it's the best selling football game in August alone). That's not what we're here to talk about, though: we're here to talk about Madden NFL Superstars - a new game for Facebook created by Playfish in conjunction with EA Sports for Madden and Football fans alike. Approach this game how you approach most ...
  • Xbox Live Price Hiked to $60, I Question Why
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted August 30th, 2010 at 5:58 pm
I don't even need much of an introduction because the story ends in the title: Microsoft is announcing that - starting November 1st - Xbox Live will cost $60 if you want to take advantage of their "premium" features for 12 months. Xbox Live's Major Nelson attempts to explain the change on his blog with the following statement: Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same. We’re confiden...

  • Modded Controllers Ruin Online Gaming
    by Kent Lundblad
    Posted August 7th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Young gamers are flooding Call of Duty lobbies, Halo 3 matches, and Gears of War skirmishes and they're completely ruining everything that hundreds of programmers have spent years setting up, and they're doing it with modded controllers and lag switches. Every day I have some one I know tell me about how they were in a match with some obnoxious kid who was hosting, lag switching, and clearly using a modded controller, removing skill from the equation of the game, and ruining everyone's experienc...
  • Fairy Tail Impressions + First Episode
    by Stephen Batts
    Posted July 27th, 2010 at 10:19 am
As a die-hard fan of anime that has watched his fair share of good and bad, I have gotten insanely good at judging anime either by the opening credits or the first 15 minutes of the first episode. Without even having a chance to put up this mentality, Fairy Tail captured me from the first scene. The animation is both gorgeous and colorful, and the characters are vibrant with humor and extremely different personalities. There are two main characters in this anime, even though there are so ma...

Ever since Al Gore took the initiative to create the internet in 1992, the information superhighway has been improving the lives of users worldwide in a multitude of ways once never even imagined. Gone are the days where little Jimmy from down the block had to come over with his controller to get in a killer session of Techmo Bowl, as through the advent of the world wide web, an entire universe of gamers are now connected to each other from the comforts of their own home. The internet has change...

  • How To Be A Noob On Battlefield: Bad Company 2
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 11th, 2010 at 11:08 am
Today may be the greatest day of my... well, week. It's Sunday after-all. Anyway, after years on XBox Live, I have finally attained the greatest achievement of them all: hate mail. Finally, I have played a game at such a level that it resonated deep into the soul of another player, affecting them in a way that was so profound and life altering, that it prompted them to actually send me a message in a fit of rage. Now if I was being an asshole and glitching or stealing some dudes AC-130, or any o...
  • Krome’s Blog – Building The Dream
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted July 10th, 2010 at 4:28 pm
We all have a dream. Some dream to bring the dream team to Miami, some dream to make the best possible gaming site known to man. Although both these dreams are mine, I've only accomplished one out of the two. During E3, I saw the potential of AnalogHype unlock. I needed to a better venue for all this potential. So for the past couple of months, I've been reevaluating what should be AnalogHype. We love sharing unique content and getting involved with the community. If you haven't played a multipl...

  • MGS Rising: Have Faith In Me
    by Khalid
    Posted June 14th, 2010 at 5:17 pm
We all saw with amazement today as Hideo Kojima's English, looked to have gotten better than the last time we saw him stand alongside the presenters of the Microsoft conference. At least for me, because I was not impressed with the little footage we saw. I'm not a person to judge a game by it's trailer and I will not do that now, however I will express what I didn't like from what I saw. Firstly was the way the game plays; it looks slower than the fast action pace we saw in the cut scenes and ...
  • Achievement Mastery 101: Episode 3

After being delayed by computer trouble for a few days, I am back in action and ready to bring you the next episode of Achievement Mastery 101. This week, in honor of the NBA Finals, I am going to give you a quick, easy and cheap way to pad an extra 2000 G to your gamer score, that is, if you haven’t done this already. I guarantee that just about anyone on your friends list with a huge gamer score has. For this, you will need copies of NBA 2K6 and NCAA Basketball 2K6. If you are not a sports f...
  • Achievement Mastery 101: Episode 2

    Posted June 4th, 2010 at 7:01 pm
In my opinion, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is as good as it gets as far as the multi-player experience goes for a first person shooter. The entire atmosphere feels so authentic, and the ability to do more than run and gun or camp until someone happens to pop by keeps things fresh and entertaining. One of the other great aspects of the game is that it is the type of game that can very easily be maxed out if you want to put the time in to do it. With the Dr. Pepper promotion EA has run, the tota...
