  • The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom Review
    by Khalid
    Posted March 4th, 2010 at 11:43 am
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is an arcade game exclusively to Xbox live marketplace. A game with quite an unusual story that somehow gives it the comical feel as well as making you realise that this is not to be taken too serious. With it being an Arcade game, the main focus of course is the gameplay. Very rarely do we get an arcade release with a good story and this is no exception. Winterbottom is a thief, but no ordinary thief, he's a pie eating thief (wow... awesome!). Terrorising ...
  • Heavy Rain Review
    by Quentyn Kennemer
    Posted March 1st, 2010 at 6:24 pm
It's not often that we get a game like Heavy Rain, and when we do it's imperative that we open our minds and clear them out to take in the type of experience that it offers. The comeback title from Quantic Dreams after their critically acclaimed Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit overseas) is out, and after finishing the campaign we only have one question: how far are we willing to go to consider this game a must buy? Read on for our long-winded answer. Right from the start, you can pretty much tag ...

    by Quentyn Kennemer
    Posted February 22nd, 2010 at 1:23 pm
2K Boston has jumped off of the horse to let their sister-studio 2K Marin go for a ride with the sequel to 2007's Game of the Year. BioShock 2 is out, and it brings with it a good host of additions to complement the return of a lot of what made the first game as successful as it was. Is the sequel worth checking out? Read ahead for our review. In BioShock 2, you return to Rapture just 10 years after the events in the franchise's debut. A major power shift has occurred since the fall of Andrew...

Darwinia+ consists of 2 different games, Darwinia which was originaly released for PC in 05 and its sequel Multiwinia released in 08. Darwinia+ brings both these games together for an XBLA release, that RTS console gamers don't want to miss out on. (more...)...
  • Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Review
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted February 19th, 2010 at 12:00 pm
1997. The glorious year Koei started the epic battle between the Three Kingdoms of Ancient China and delivered it to your living room. You were hack and slashing with your favorite kingdoms including the Wu, Wei, and Shu. Over the years, these kingdoms have gone to battle over several consoles and continue to battle it out in the latest release in the Dynasty Warriors franchise. This time around, though, things are a bit different. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce features a hefty roster filled ...
  • Dante’s Inferno Review
    by Terence Daniel
    Posted February 17th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
What’s the HYPE! YES it plays like God of War, YES it feels like God of War, but it is NOT God of War. God of War is a fantastic series, and  Dante’s Inferno uses the blueprints laid out by God of War, and tries to expand on it by introducing its own take and style on the genre. The question is, has Visceral Games (Dead Space) done a good job, have they made a game that stands on its own, or is Dante’s Inferno a poor man’s God of War. Players assume the role of Dante, who descen...
  • Mass Effect 2 Review
    by Keem J.
    Posted February 16th, 2010 at 11:00 am
Bioware hasn't been twiddling their thumbs since the first Mass Effect game but we like to think of their in between releases as practice for the big game. Mass Effect 2 is finally upon us. Only question now is will it surpass Mass Effect 1 or be just another mediocre sequel. (more...)...
  • Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond Review
    by David Leavitt
    Posted February 14th, 2010 at 12:00 pm
Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond is an over the top and outrageously violent side scrolling shooter. Developed by Vicious Cycle Software, Inc. and available from both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, Matt Hazard keeps players laughing throughout its entire ridiculous story. Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond is a parody that takes aim at video games in general, and even mocks itself. The back story to this title is that Matt Hazard (the main character) must travel back in tim...
  • Pop’n Music Review
    by Baron W
    Posted February 13th, 2010 at 3:14 pm
Pop N Music is an offshoot of a popular franchise by the name of DJ Max Portable. Pop N Music uses sounds from popular anime, J-pop games, and even some remixes of popular games such as entries from the Gradius and Castlevania series. Aesthetics are the main focus of this game, but it might be best to describe its place by saying “too much of anything is a bad thing” and this game does exactly that. From the constantly moving characters on screen to the extremely bright colors of the game ov...
