Epic is just one of the many words to describe this Playstation Move montage. If this commercial hits the TV airwaves, its definitely going to be a cold winter for the motion control holiday showdown! Thoughts on this hilarious piece should be shared here as well. If you laughed and your eye ball exploded, make sure to let us know. ...

  • Madden NFL Superstars (Facebook) Impressions
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted September 1st, 2010 at 8:16 am
It's been around a month and a half since Madden NFL 11 hit store shelves and EA's already boasting the accolades we knew they'd rack up with it (with the most important - to them - being that it's the best selling football game in August alone). That's not what we're here to talk about, though: we're here to talk about Madden NFL Superstars - a new game for Facebook created by Playfish in conjunction with EA Sports for Madden and Football fans alike. Approach this game how you approach most ...
  • New Xbox 360 Controller Tailors to Fighting Fans
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted September 1st, 2010 at 6:57 am
Microsoft's introducing a new controller for the Xbox 360 that they hope will curb the frustration of fighting game fans who aren't particularly keen on using fighting sticks. The biggest change they've made to the controller is in the directional pad. Before, the pad was just one big block with recessed grooves in four corners of the circle to create the feel of a d-pad. This doesn't work for one big reason: it's hard to tell exactly which direction you're pressing on the d-pad (especially if t...
  • Vanquish – The Demo Experience
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted August 31st, 2010 at 10:03 pm
Right from the jump, you can tell this is a Japanese game.  I know its not just me that thinks the menus and user interface is your typical Japanese action game fonts and visuals. The game's controls resemble Gears Of War. By the way, your going to hear that a lot. So of course you press A to dodge/roll, B to melee, RB to reload. Japanese game cliche alert! In Vanquish, when you press LB your mask goes up and you smoke a cigarette.  In Vanquish you in a mechanical suit that has boosters on you...
  • The Underground Scene Gets Their Hands on Reach

A few weeks ago Bungie and Microsoft started sending out codes to people that they deemed worthy enough to play it early to review. And since that day, the internet has been trying to figure out how to get that onto their consoles. And then a week ago it happened, those few that have what is known as a JTagged console were able to download and play that version of Reach. Well, Minus a few small parts of the game that were lost in translation with the codes. And now it is upon us, the retail...

    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted August 30th, 2010 at 5:58 pm
I don't even need much of an introduction because the story ends in the title: Microsoft is announcing that - starting November 1st - Xbox Live will cost $60 if you want to take advantage of their "premium" features for 12 months. Xbox Live's Major Nelson attempts to explain the change on his blog with the following statement: Since launching Xbox LIVE in 2002 we have continually added more content and entertainment experiences for our members, while keeping the price the same. We’re confiden...

Mobile gaming is here to stay! So here at AnalogHype, we decided its only appropriate to review mobile games as well. It's only fitting to kick things off with one the most popular mobile racing game series, Asphalt. The latest entry into the Asphalt series is Asphalt 5, which recently made it over to the Android mobile OS. What’s the best way to describe Asphalt 5? First thing that comes to mind is adrenaline rush in your hand. Asphalt 5 definitely delivers with a strong sense of speed. But,...
