How To Train Your Dragon: The Game Announced Today
Activision has announced that the latest film from DreamWorks Animation, How To Train Your Dragon, would be getting a video gam adaptation. The game will allow players to create their own dragons and train them to fight in fiery duals and battles. The game is a third person action-adventure title where players can take on the role of Hiccup or Astrid as they travel across the Island of Berk to become the greatest dragon trainer that they can be.

Rumor – Nintendo DS 2 Is In The Works, Dev Kits Are Floating Around
In accordance with what we've been hearing from Nintendo regarding a new console, new rumors have surfaced regarding a possible successor to the DS line. Gamekult is reporting that Nintendo apparently sent out development kits for the new handheld. We first caught wind of the rumor back in February, where a source disclosed information that Nintendo would be making an unveiling at this year's Game Development Conference.
Later on, Nintendo-boss Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that a new piece of h...
January 2010 NPD Numbers Are In
The NPD numbers for January 2010 are in. What consoles took the top spot and what games had people opening their wallets? Microsoft beat out Sony's PlayStation 3, moving 330k units compared to the 276k Sony was able to push out. Darksiders, in a surprising appearance, has come in at number 10 having sold 171-thousand units. As usual, your plethora of Wii games remain littered throughout the top 10, as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on both platforms. It seems Nintendo truthfully can'...
New Blood Bowl Investigation Trailer
Someone's not happy with the way the other races are approaching the game of football, and he's going to let it be known on national television. This latest Blood Bowl trailer shows the bloody, brutal game of football in the eyes of a former player who, in my honest opinion, sounds entirely too bitter for his own good. Perhaps he's just pissed because his career never really took off (even after having participated in thousands of games in his lifetime). Check the trailer out below.

First Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Teaser Trailer Lands
Earlier, we were supposed to be greeted by a revel via Xbox Live in the form of a trailer announcing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Unfortunately, a lot of people were unable to find this video on Xbox Live (and those that don't own an Xbox 360 couldn't even check for themselves, of course). It's finally popped up on the internet, and you can check it out for yourself below. Technology evolves, threat evolves, but the war stays the same. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is out Fall 2010 for the PlayS...
Iron Man 2 Trailer Has A Fetish For Metal
Sega promised us that Iron Man 2 would be a lot better than the original game (based on the movie, which is subsequently based on the comic). While this trailer doesn't do much to prove that Sega is on their way to making that happen, it does look somewhat promising. We still need to see a lot more, though, before passing any judgment. In any case, just enjoy this trailer as Tony Starks prepares to make his return to consoles (and as he also wishes he'd never built himself the iron suit to begin...
Who Says There’s No Room For Originality? Scribblenauts Breaks The 1 Million Barrier
I still stand by my opinion that Scribblenauts is one of the most original and fascinating games to come out this generation, and perhaps ever (one of). I'm glad that a huge amount of handheld gamers feel the same, as well, as it's just been announced that Scribblenauts has sold over 1 Million copies on the Nintendo DS to date. The game has been out since September, which means it achieved this feat in just about four months time (and it is indeed a feat by handheld standards).
"We are extrem...
New BlazBlue Game To Be Revealed For Consoles Soon, Says Leaked Famitsu
Details from the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, leaked online a week early (but quickly taken back by the hand of God, or whoever runs Famitsu), confirms that a new BlazBlue game is in the works and will be making its way to home consoles in the future. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift actually already exists: but only in arcade form. This will mark the first consumer/home platform for the game's release. This isn't surprising, though, with the first BlazBlue being received exceptionally well.

Buy Rent Demo: January 31st, 2010
A lot of people will probably be thankful for the slow stream of games this week as I'm sure games like M.A.G., Mass Effect 2, and Bioshock 2 (for a few select) are still consuming every waking drop of the lives of gamers everywhere. As usual, I highlight the notable releases this week and let you know if I think it's worth buying, renting, or just checking out the demo.
