I hope this isn't true but according to Slate Roxanne Shante doesn't have that PHD she claims to have and isn't even licensed to practice psychology in NY. This sucks!

"We are aware that stepping off into secession may in fact be a bloody war. We are aware. We understand that tree of freedom is occasionally watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." - The Lady in Red
"There's absolutely no reason to dissolve [the Union]. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that." - Texas Governor Rick Perry
Crazy right, don't mess with Texas. We are living in amazing times. It sounds like complete lunacy but Texas is the only state in the Union that has a provision in the constitution that would actually allow the state to secede. This makes it quite possible for these cats to say F*&k the flag, the United States and roll the hell out. The scary part about this is these mofo's are actually willing to take up arms and fight for this. Full article after the jump.

I'm with Rich. If your team sucks you better be practicing all day. I mean who really wants to practice? Bottom line, if you suck you need to practice. And parents your kid went to Michigan, Michigan plays Ohio State! What did you expect?

I learned of how serious these cats were about soccer when I lived in Greece, I witnessed the soccer hooligans up close. I'm not going to front like I know much about it but I do know this much. FC Barcelona defeated Sporting Gijon 3 nil. You like my futbol steez don't you!
I'll admit that I'm a bit partial on wanting Mike Beasley to succeed. He's my homeboy and at least once a week I have a drink at a bar in Union Station in DC with the man who raised him. I was little hesitant on posting this for those reasons. M. Beasley has reportedly checked into a Houston rehab center after the above twitter pic leaked. Read more after the jump.

"Young Moola Baby" Bitch please! I am not giving into the hype of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment being the greatest urban record label in the music industry. With their newest acquisitions, it seems that the record label powerhouse is more of a rehab center. Got dropped from your label and no one else will sign you? Did your latest album flop? Can't remember the last hit you recorded? Well, Young Money Entertainment will sign you!

Plaxico Burress pled guilty to illegally possessing the gun that shot him in the leg while he was at a Manhattan nightclub last year earlier today.
Burress will be sentenced on September 22 , the prosecution recommended two years in prison. One day in jail is too long but at least he didn't get hit with the 15 which was possible. Sucks to Be Plaxico, career over.

Those cats at EA sports should be tired of this dude. Why doesn't Brett just say he doesn't want to go to training camp or participate in two a day practices? If anyone deserves to flip flop on retirement it's him, he's earned it. But why must we go through this every summer? That's four years in a row we've gone through this. Sucks to be Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels.
Update: Now if we can keep his jersey from reading Natinals and keep him away from Dr. James Andrews we may have a shot at being a real team. Score one for the Nats. Now do the right thing and hire Mike Rizzo!
I wouldn't say all of DC is holding its breath but it would be nice to get the kid, especially after what happened to Jordan Zimmerman. If the Nationals don't sign Strasburg, I wouldn't blame them. You offer the dude a record contract and he turns it down......who needs him anyway. Uh we do, but hey I'm with Stan Kasten. Stand your ground Stan and don't let the Washington Nationals be the team that changes the way baseball does business.
Good for Mike Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles! Mike signed a two year contract worth a reported $6.8 million. The first year will pay Vick $1.6 million and $5.2 million in year two. Peace to Jeffrey Lurie for saying eff it and making taking a chance. I'm a Steelers fan to the bone but I'm going to swing a few cheers the Eagles way this season.

According to a report in USA Today over the past three years sales of EA Sports Madden NFL have dropped each year. I'm wondering is it due to NCAA Football being a better a product. Although it grew on me Madden 09 wasn't that cool, I hated the way it played at first. With stores opening their doors at midnight obviously there is still demand for this game, shyt I want it but I'm a bit leery of the changes they have made. Do we really need that much involvement from the zebras?
