Choosing the right anime could be overwhelming at times with the huge range of diversity they come in. Personally I hate doing it, but periodically comes a time when I just have to because I get so bored with the current one’s I’m watching (not including Bleach). I usually check out forums and posts of people who say that they watched a certain anime and it’s their favourite. This happened with how I came about checking out Gantz. It was a choice between Gantz and Mushishi, the latter being one I will later review.  Check out the full written review after the jump.

We don't hate fillers anymore. Nope, not any more thanks to the hardworking team behind the anime BLEACH. With the current new arc, which I might add is not cannon to the story, brilliantly setting the bar to all those other lazy animators over at (they know who they are), who always tend to make what is a hopeful storyline turn into a comical bore, this is truly exciting and something us viewers commend. Never in my whole years watching anime have I seen, what looks like so much time put into a filler arc. Beautifully animated and the story told is something refreshing which I'm sure also pleases the manga creator Kubo Tite. Now if you're wondering what a filler is, it's usually when the anime doesn't go according to the main story (90% of the time not following the direction of the manga) and what we usually get is a rushed below par episode with a very basic plot that usually ends within that episode. However in the past, the BLEACH team, though as stated that quality was lacking, were quite consistent towards making arcs which spanned 20 episodes. The Bounto arc was one to be exact and even though I wasn't a fan of it, it seemed okay at the least.

Though some may deny it we all have watched at least one avatar episode and enjoyed it, even with its cheesey voice overs and the fact that its on Nickelodeon right after Blues Clues. There is just something about Ang and his bald arrow tattooed self that keeps even the older watchers of this show very entertained.

The anime itself isn't new but it's something that has probably crept from under the radar. A mixture of both fantasy, love and action and something that mirrors the theme of the Harry Potter novels. It is quite an interesting mix and we've just started watching it. A brief explanation of the story is, Louise a female daughter of a noble attends a school of alchemy and is one day told to summon as part of a test. While everyone else summons animals and creatures alike, the quite terrible Louise summons a human "commoner" by the name of Saito and so commands him to he her servant.

It seems like the reign of Japanese manga is at it's peak in the west now and dominating the likes of Marvel and DC. For the first time in 11 months, the Watchmen graphic novel has been dethroned by my personal favorite, Bleach. Bleach Volume 27, which revolves around Orihime's departure from her friends onto Hueco Mundo. This is great news considering how the Watchmen graphic novel had just taken over for far too long. In fact, Viz dominated the whole charts with most of the entries being from them.

Tired of terrible streaming quality online and looking for sites that just don't deliver? Well your prayers are answered with FUNimation. FUNimation the US entertainment company are releasing most of the animes they've claimed rights to in full english dub on their Youtube page. Organised into playlists, you can choose which anime you want to watch in either high quality or high definition. However not all the anime's they license are uploaded to watch as they also use their Youtube page for previews on new releases and advertisements. This is one of the many ways in which FUNimation are countering fansubbing and trying to stamp down on it. FUNimation isn't only on Youtube, they have a channel on Hulu and Veoh.

Another week, another fight (I've said that already I think). This time featuring the black samurai, Afro from the Afro Samurai series which was also adapted into a movie. After having his father die to the hands of the current number 1 for the rank and after many years of training to get his revenge, he finally confronts him. How does he fair?
