I'm just as shocked as everyone else. In a deal that I'm pretty sure noone saw coming, Disney comes straight out of left field with the announcement that they've acquired Marvel and all associated IPs for around $4 billion. This is huge. Will we see Hanna Montana co-starring in the next Spiderman comic? Perhaps Wolverine will make terrifying cameo in the next Cheetah Girls film (it kinda fits, right?). Disney President Robert Iger is simply ecstatic over the acquisition (as should any smart businessman):
"This transaction combines Marvel's strong global brand and world-renowned library of characters including Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four and Thor with Disney's creative skills, unparalleled global portfolio of entertainment properties, and a business structure that maximizes the value of creative properties across multiple platforms and territories,"
What do you think? Will this help Disney? Hurt Marvel? Vice versa? Do you care? And will you be resubscribing to the Disney package in fear of your favorite cartoon renditions of the classic line of Marvel comics being available exclusively for their premium network? Read on for the full press release.

Yes i'm sure most of you guys from the UK must of thought that King of Fighters XII was set to release on the 28th of august, but yet again another delay. This time Ignition Entertainment confirmed today that it has a new release date for KOF XII for the UK and that release date is set for september 25th. Yet another gruesome wait, but will it be worth it? Or will the hype for another great 2D game die down. Hopefully a patch will come out before it gets released for the UK to fix the lag online.

Dark Void was one of the games originally pushed back to 2010 to avoid the smackdown it'd be getting by Modern Warfare 2 in the 2009 holiday season. Capcom has set an official shipping date for the sci-fi shooter. Nearly 2 weeks following New Year's, on January 12th for the US and January 15th for Europe, fans can expect to see Dark Void in stores for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Let your eyes wander below to see some gameplay footage of the game (which is subtly laced with boring commentary!).
P.S.: Capcom will be showing off a new playable demo at GamesCom, which we expect them to grace the marketplaces with in the coming weeks (following their Lost Planet 2 Co-Op demo which releases this week) so be on the lookout.

After an extensive legal battle, Brutal Legend approaches the horizon with plenty of Rock and Metal to feed your inner rocker. We got a chance to play Brutal Legend at E3 and I was blown away by its innovation. On September 17th, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can experience the game as well with the release of the Brutal Legend demo. September 17th is awhile away but it will be worth the wait.

As a supreme early grinder, I have the privilege of watching music videos on MTV the only time they really show videos, early in the morning. This morning I woke up to a Beatles Rock Band music video. The video was completely in game footage and still looks amazing after seeing it at E3. I changed the channel to VH1 and a few minutes later The Beatles Rock Band music video reappears. MTV games is really going hard with the promotion of this game, and if this continues it seems like they will have another hit.
The Beatles Rock Band takes over MTV networks Aug 18 2009 12:36:12
Promotion is everything. You don't advertise, you won't sell, you advertise, then you sell. No matter the product, no matter the quality. I just wish T-Mobile will advertise their Android-based phones better so Google can gain Mobile OS marketshare before the 4th gen iphone hits the street.
