Axton. I enjoyed being Roland in Borderlands and grew quite attached to the turret. Axton would be the logical choice for Borderlands 2.

The Psychos, in borderlands 1 and 2. Yes the Story characters are the bomb but the Psychos have made enemies in games A Million Times Better, and Funnier plus even thought they have a few variations that they have in the game fused with the right elemental/environmental powers, size and the right weapons they are a riot to watch them attack you, hilarious to battle with and when they die you can’t help but catch a knee slapping laugh.
Claptrap, FTW! he is a very fun character and loved him in the first game.
