The Worst Videogame Console of All Time
Video games: For the most part it’s a hobby to us, but for others’ a way of life. We’ve been blessed with some amazing games and experiences in the past, which have attributed to future expectancies from sequels to newer franchises. Now the capabilities of the game solely rely on good hardware and hardware that can deliver the visions of each developer out there. Sometimes ideas become too ahead of their time because the vision in theory works, but in practice just doesn’t work out. Why? Because the console plain out sucks. But what makes it suck? Empty promises. Over the years I’ve been gaming there have been some consoles that just frustrated me to no end. And here’s a list of them from wack, to suck balls.
The worst system out of them all, the Playstation 3. The fail on this console is just beyond belief, always delivering empty promises to the consumer which comically turned against them, from their countless nicknames (delaystation 3, failstation 3, gaystation 3, homostation 3, pissstation 3 and so on.) to their ongoing feud with infamous online hacking group “Anonymous.” The online interface sucks, the online store sucks, Playstation home is garbage/trash (whatever your preference) and worst of all playing online itself is laggy. Sure it’s free, but what good is free when you can’t even use what’s free properly? I truly believe the gaming Gods (God forbid they exist) cursed Sony by making them prematurely give birth to a system–ahead of its time during release. Although it was “ahead of its time” and had countless rumours of how amazing it was, it failed to meet expectations when it mattered most. Sure it had great graphics and better than any of the other consoles, but we are at an age where online gaming is booming and to not be on your shit about it is a problem.
I truly hate the ps3. This console glitches out, freezes up and just plain sucks more than any other console I've ever owned. With painfully long load times, the constant need for updates that take forever even on a good connection, I agree that this system should be rated the worst of ALL

Not to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but this to me seems like someone who opened up their PS3 box, played for a few hours, and RAGED at not being given Star Trek level technology. Do I like my PS3? Yes. Does it do everything I want/have no useless features? No. That in NO WAY makes it the worst system ever.

Plain and simple the fact is that all of you are right. Because the beautiful thing about being human is that our capacity for thought allows us to like or dislike things. I personally feel the PS3 has its up's and its downs. For me more ups than downs but I will never argue that the XBOX 360 is not the better system because truly it is.
Chris, You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Khalid has made some great points, and points that are valid. Sony has promised many things to their customers on the Playstation 3. They have even removed features that we had come to use, and now its gone. PS Store is a shit show, PSN is horrible trying to connect to a friend is almost impossible. The mere fact that the system comes at a 300$ price tag and its not backwards compatible is so fucking dumb. And PS Home is a waste of server space and width. Yeah lets by furniture with real money for a fake apartment so i can look cool. Hands down Sony wants all the money they can get from its failed attempt at this system. And oh yeah, don't get me started on the whole yellow light thing too.
it is backward compatible. all you have to do is download a free program. learn your facts ignorant shit.
RoomWithaMoose You are spewing complete, ignorant nonsense. There is no program that you can download to magically transform the all-but-3 PS3 models into backwards compatible vessels. They all are without the graphic synthesizer, which is the main reason why they can't play PS2 games. There is a download straight from Sony, which is for already backwards compatible models (if that's what you're mindlessly referring to). Other than that, no; maybe you should get your facts straight before making yourself look like an idiot.
