Art Exhibit For Snow White and the Huntsman is Now Accepting Submissions
Snow White and the Huntsman has to be one of biggest movies dropping this summer. Charlize Theron as the evil queen? That’s more then enough to sell me on the movie. Universal Pictures announced a call for artists to submit work inspired by Snow White and the Huntsman. Any medium is acceptable, and the winner will have his or her piece shown in a pop-up gallery alongside the work of a well known LA artist, as well as pieces by three-time Oscar-winning costume designer for the movie Colleen Atwood. You have to be 18 years of age to enter, and the work submitted must not include any recognizable likenesses of the film’s stars.
Submissions are open through May 11, 2012, and the selected artists (up to 10) will be announced on May 14. Snow White and the Huntsman opens on June 1st.
To submit, email a .jpeg image of your work, along with contact information and a short description of the work, to SWATH.ART@nbcuni.com before the deadline. To watch the trailer for the film, go to www.snowwhiteandthehuntsman.com.
