Michael Fassbender set to star and co-produce Assassin’s Creed movie

Variety is reporting that Michael Fassbender is set to take the helm of the film adaptation of the Assassin’s Creed franchise as both the star of the show and a co-producer. While details of where the story will start and whether Fassbender will be Altair, Ezio, Conner or Desmond are unknown, Ubisoft has high hopes for the Inglorious Basterds/X-Men: First Class star being involved easily makes this an instant win.
