So Sony’s PSP Vita just launched this past week in Japan and the numbers are in! According to Famitsu via Andriasang the PSP Vita sold 321,407, which is very good when comparing to launches of previous handheld systems in Japan. Although that was the initial numbers recorded, Sony did not actually give us any indication of how much they shipped. Some reports came in claiming it was about 700k units, which would make it almost half of what they shipped, and that is by no means bad for week one.
