Two stores have some pretty hot deals that we think are definitely worth your attention. If you have been putting off adding any of these titles to your collection, this may be as cheap as it gets for a while. Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us did not have any sales worth mentioning in their circulars this week, but K-Mart and Target have more than made up for it. Keep in mind, most stores do price matching, so if you can get your hands on a hard copy of either of these circulars, odds are you can...
  • Bioshock 2 DLC Was Already On The Disc? Really?
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted March 14th, 2010 at 9:41 am
The gaming community has alot to say about DLC on disc, especially with Bioshock 2 DLC. The uproar from the community lead to this response in the Bioshock 2 2k Forums. "I noticed there was a bit of confusion about our Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack file size, and I wanted to clear things up for you. The way our engine and game structure works is that people need to have the exact same content for people to play together. One of the challenges with post launch content for MP is that it can spli...

BioShock 2 is out, and it brings with it a good host of additions to complement the return of a lot of what made the first game as successful as it was. Is the sequel worth checking out? Read ahead for our review. In BioShock 2, you return to Rapture just 10 years after the events in the franchise's debut. A major power shift has occurred since the fall of Andrew...

  • You Can Unlock 60 Frames Per Second In Both Console Versions Of BioShock 2
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted February 13th, 2010 at 11:28 am
I've not known this before, but apparently you can unlock the option to play BioShock 2 in smooth 60 frames per second by toggling a single option. By going to the options menu, you'll see an option named "Unlock Framerate" at the bottom. By default, this is option has been disabled, but you can turn it on to experience the game in fluid motion than what is given to you by default. This option only exists in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but that's because the PC version of the game runs at 60 ...
  • Opening 10 Minutes of Bioshock 2 : 1st and Ten

And its finally here, Bioshock 2. I have personally read many reviews, and seen players' early responses to this game. A lot of people have already shared their opinions and the reception so far has been pretty mixed..  It's been called boring, that it just seems like it should be an expansion, and has also been called fun and amazing. BioShock 2 is going to be different to a lot of people, but I am loving it so far. Dante's Inferno is going to be placed on hold until this game is finished. ...
  • Buy Rent Demo: Release Week of February 7th, 2010
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted February 7th, 2010 at 4:52 am
It's a great week for game releases, because we have some surefire heavy hitters dropping pretty soon. You know the drill by now: I run through the marquee releases of the week and provide my verdict on whether or not you should buy the game, rent it, or just give the demo a quick spin. As usual, these are only opinions and should not be taken very seriously, and as always, you should always try a game out for yourself to see if it's right for you. Having said that, let's get to the judgment! B...

  • BioShock 2 DLC Announced
    by Khalid
    Posted January 19th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
While I'm not a fan of DLC being announced before a game's launch, I'm sure the Bioshock fans out there may rejoice somewhat.  Kent Hudson of 2k Martin stated that the company are planning to bring DLC after the games launch, however this will be without the aid of their Australian studio. “We are working on pretty aggressive plans for DLC and that’s actually something that is already underway. That is something that is mostly being run out of the Marin studio because like I said the Austra...

  • 2K Games Announces BioShock 2 Global Street Date
    by Michael Ajibade
    Posted September 18th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
Here it is, straight from the mouth of 2K Games.  For those of you who are too lazy to read the whole thing I will give you a quick summary.  Fans can expect to be playing this game early next year.  The official global street date is  February 9, 2010.  At E3, I got a chance to see Bioshock's multiplayer in action and I can say they are putting a lot of thought into the gameplay and use of plasmids along with balancing.  Without further ado: New York, NY – September 18, 2009 – 2K ...
  • Bioshock 2 multiplayer trailer makes me uneasy
    by Sledge McCorde

Say whatever you want about 2K Games and their attempt to turn a premier single player experience into a multiplayer chaotic showdown but, good or bad, not everyone's happy. It all sounded good on paper, but let's think about this for a second. Let's raise the simplest of all questions: can it work? Was Bioshock made to incorporate this kind of gameplay or is 2K way in over their heads? Of course none of us can answer that without having played the game, but it just doesn't look right. It j...
