And with that, the Season Pass for Call Of Duty: Black Ops II has been fulfilled. The Apocalypse Map Pack is the fourth and final Map Pack for Black Ops II and it brings four new maps and a new zombie mode to your Black Ops II experience. Three of the maps are originals (Frost, Takeoff and Pod) and a fourth map (Dig) is a reskin of a previous map in the Call Of Duty catalog. The Map Pack launched this past Tuesday August 27th on Xbox Live and I had a chance to do a little running around to see how the new maps feel. As far as Call Of Duty maps go, they all run a little on the medium size and should be pretty popular in the rotation. I did not try out zombies yet, but if I do, I’ll be sure to pass it along your way. For now, check out a preview of all four maps after the break. There is an added commentary so you can get my thoughts as I play through each map for the first time.
And with that, the Black Ops II experience for Call Of Duty will come to a close and the preparation for Ghosts begins. There are four new multiplayer maps (one of which is a reskinned Courtyard from World At War) and a new zombies map that is said to be the most intense yet. A huge list of details surrounding the release can be found after the break. Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse is set to hit Xbox Live August 27th and the Playstation 3 and PC a month later.
Welcome to Blind Fire. This new series that we’re starting up will showcase gameplay and commentary of every shooter we can get our hands on. If there is a gun in it, we’re playing it. To kick thing off we’re staring with some Hardcore Team Deathmatch in Black ops 2. Hope you enjoy.
Episode 2 is here and this time around, we’re talking about the new Vengeance Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Mad Man and I go over the ins and outs of the four new maps (Uplink, Rush, Cove, Detour) and even get a little into the latest Zombies map Buried. The Vengeance Map Pack is available now on Xbox Live, and will hit the PC and Playstation 3 on August 1st. Is it wort the hype? Give us a listen after the break and find out.
The final map pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is upon us, and yesterday it officially launched on Xbox Live. As has been the case, it will be available exclusively on Xbox Live for the next month and features four new maps for multiplayer and a new Zombie map. The four new maps include the paint ball arena of Rush, the bombed out bridge of Detour, the tropical Lost/Castaway inspired Cove and a reskinned version of the classic map Summit, now called Uplink. The maps are actually pretty cool, and probably one of the first times I can remember having fun playing Call Of Duty in a while. Of course, we were playing bots, so there’s that. In any event, check out the new multiplayer maps in action below/after the break:

Mob of the Dead is the latest Zombie add on to the Call Of Duty franchise and is set to launch first on the Xbox 360 on April 16th as part of the “Uprising” Map Pack. As the story goes, four mobsters get sentenced to prison time at Alcatraz and, well, zombies happen. If you’re going to run a zombie themed mob story and your video games makes a bajillion dollars just by slapping its name on the box, you might as well go all out and poach some of the coolest actors from great mob movies and TV shows like the Sopranos, The Usual Suspects, Goodfellas and more. So for Mob of the Dead, Treyarch brought in Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano, Michael Madsen, and Ray Liotta and you will be able to play as one of these wiseguys in the game. I never get into zombies as much as I probably should, but I am definitely looking forward to giving this a try. Check out the trailer below:
So apparently the Replacer was hiring a sidekick and I didn’t get the memo. Call Of Duty does manage to get a few things right every once and a while, and one of their biggest is in the marketing department. The Replacer is back to get you excited for another Map Pack and this time, he brought a friend. These commercials are always fun, and this one is no different. The Uprising Map Pack features four new maps and one new zombie mode called Mob of the Dead. Apparently it takes place in Alcatraz. The first video after the break will give you a preview of the maps and the second will show you the Replacers. Uprising launches first on Xbox 360 on April 16th.
