  • DICE Announces Battlefield 3, MOH LE Owners Get Beta
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 30th, 2010 at 4:24 pm
I like to think I stay up on all things Battlefield, so imagine my surprise when a tweet came across my feed about Medal Of Honor Limited Edition owners being granted access to the beta for Battlefield 3. Wait, what? Battlefield 3? Yes! If you have yet to play a game, any game, in the Battlefield series, you just don't know what you are missing, as the people over at DICE have mastered the art of the first person shooter. Color me excited for this one. No release date has been given, but for now...
  • Medal Of Honor Music Trailer Featuring Linkin Park
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 29th, 2010 at 7:20 pm
A new trailer has been posted for the upcoming Medal Of Honor reboot featuring Grammy Award winning artists Linkin Park. While the multi-player beta has not been getting the best of reviews (present company included), I am really hopeful that the folks at Danger Close can pull off a really epic campaign. Based on the amount of time and research and attention to detail they have put into this, I have no doubt they will. Check out the video below: ...
  • NCAA Football 2011 Review
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 29th, 2010 at 8:36 am
College football is big business. Spending the majority of my teenage and adult life in New England, it’s something I always understood, but never really got to experience myself. Sure, we have Boston College, but being completely realistic, no one around here ever cares about them until they are contending for a National Title. Of course, that happened just once with a guy named Matt Ryan playing quarterback. It wasn’t until I made the move to Jacksonville, Florida in 2005 that I truly unde...
  • Madden 11 Soundtrack Disappoints
    by Adrian Pottinger
    Posted July 28th, 2010 at 11:07 am
Damn you Madden! EA Sports can you please give us a year with some good Football music? At first glance the Madden 11 Soundtrack looks like the playlist for the Drive at Five on your classic rock radio station. On top of that, the only Hip Hop representation on the soundtrack is Kevin Rudolf and the Ying Yang Twins. I would rather listen to the T-Pain - Miami Dolphins Fight Song on repeat then listen to this soundtrack in game. Awful! I'm positive I can come up with a more relevant soundtrack t...
  • Madden 11 Demo Out Today, NFC Preview Inside
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 27th, 2010 at 1:29 pm
EA has released a demo for Madden 11 on the XBox 360 and Playstation 3 today. The demo will give fans the opportunity to play as either the Indianapolis Colts or the New York Jets. There are a lot of new features highlighted in the demo, and I even noticed that there was an achievement or two that can be unlocked once you purchase the full game (the one I got was for setting up an offense). I'll get more into my thoughts on the demo later when I finish up my impressions review. For now, though, ...
  • Knife A Member Of DICE On Battlefield: Bad Company 2
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 26th, 2010 at 7:33 am
One of the coolest aspects of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the melee attacking. Sure, everyone likes to get a random knife kill here and there in the world of first person shooters, but the folks at DICE turned the act into an art, because in the world of Bad Company 2, when you stick a knife in someones back... you take a little piece of them with you. Namely, their dog tags. As an example, let me show you this shiny set of dog tags I personally own from someone who may kind of, sort of be fam...
  • Medal Of Honor Beta Impressions
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 25th, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Finally, after a month of delays, pre-order drama and ridiculousness, the multi-player beta for the reboot of the Medal Of Honor series from EA is downloaded on my harddrive. I have been pretty excited about this game, as it really looks like EA and Danger Close have been going all out to make sure Medal Of Honor reclaims its thrown as the king of the first person shooter. Adding to the excitement is the fact that that the developers from the Battlefield series, DICE, were brought on board to ha...
  • EA Introduces Darkspore, Teaser & Screens Within
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 23rd, 2010 at 7:00 am
At a press event in Redwood City, California this past Tuesday, EA unveiled their next big Action-RPG titled Darkspore, which seems to be an evil spin-off of the original Spore series. The game has been described as a "fast-paced, sci-fi in which you battle across alien worlds to save the galaxy from the mutated forces of Darkspore." There will be both solo gameplay, as well as co-op, and the game will be available on the PC and Mac. More information should be made available when Maxis hits San ...

EA and Danger Close have unveiled the third part of the Tier 1 interview series featuring the soldiers who served as the inspiration for the upcoming reboot of the Medal Of Honor series. If Danger Close doesn't mean anything to you right now, that is because EA also just announced the name for the studio behind the game while showing off their sweet new logo. Check out both the video and logo below: ...
  • Kingdom Of Amalur: Reckoning Debut Trailer
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 23rd, 2010 at 6:25 am
First we had a name, now, we have a face. Curt Schilling's 38 Studios is a mystery no more, as they have finally shown the world just what the hell they have been up to since my favorite pitcher decided to hang up his cleats and retire from baseball. The game is called Kingdom Of Amalur: Reckoning, and it features the handy work of best selling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator and legendary artist Todd McFarlane and the lead designer from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Ken Rolston. When you...

  • 38 Studios Announces Kingdom Of Amalur: Reckoning
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted July 20th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
Updating a previous report, former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling and his 38 Studios will be debuting their forthcoming MMORPG that has been in the works for nearly two years this Thursday at San Diego Comic Con. Until recently, not much was known about the project other than the fact that R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane were a part of the development. Now, just two days before the world premier cinematic trailer, we have a title for the game: Kingdom Of Amalur: Reckoning. The artist fo...
