Fashawn – Santiago’s Revenge
Due to a fairly recent incident of me falling into a bear trap, which was clearly seen before the descent, I find myself posting in order to relieve myself of the miserable pain that is striking my eardrums. Usually I tend to parry such blatant attacks, but in this instance I dove in with my epée down. Fortunately, I am able to reach into my medicine cabinet and pull out some musical aspirin. Santiago Leyva, more commonly known as Fashawn, is a Fresno based rapper who has been putting out many ...

Now I'm a tad bit late on this one, but my late is still lightyears ahead of most. But I Digress. Lil’ Wayne – Steady Mobbin’ (Ft. Gucci Mane)

For the most part, all of the AnalogHype Staff are Wayne Haters. Simple as that. I myself refuse to dislike someone just because, but I digress. Not to mention he clearly went in on this one. This song is quite old but you can tell that the Young Money Team is pacing themselves to keep Wayne controlling both the ears as well as the eyes of the music industry while incarcerated. This video was directed by DJ Scoob Doo and the music video is a part of a DVD also set to be released called the Nino ...
Curren$y – The Day f. Mos Def & Jay Electronica (prod. Ski Beatz)

This song puts a BP Oil Cap on quite the week indeed. More and more so called "walls" are being knocked down in this genre we call hip-hop. And Jay Electronica proves time and time again that he is honestly the best MC in the game at this moment. Center Edge Territory album would be so ill right about now, hell I'd even settle for a Mixtape.

Good Wednesday Kings and Queens. It's yet another indescribably hot day in Afghanistan with a high of 110 degrees. This slightly Not Safe For Work video was directed by Dante Marshall. Produced by Don Cannon. Big Sean is a true talent from the West Coast, Final Famous 3 should be yet another Gem.

Good Monday to you all. I thought I would jump in here with a little quality music for the hiphop heads. This is an iTunes bonus track from Eminem's Recovery Deluxe Edition. Don't get me wrong this adds to the great anticipation of Slaughterhouse signing to Shady Records rumors. But like Crooked I said, "Wheres Jump Off Joe Beezy?"

Vega from Street Fighter spitting his Narcissism

I think this is so dope that I had to make a post about it. A short music video done by Ian Kelly a member from newsgrounds about Vega (or Balrog to you Japanese fans out there... if any). Animating the sprites from the original SF2 with a really good rap over a rehashed sampled theme from Vega's stage. This results are nothing less than pure win.

First To Be Next: KiD CuDi – Man on the Moon: The End of Day (Review)
Initial thought was, is this what 808's and Heartbreak was supposed to sound like minus the auto-tune? Man on the Moon is a self indulgent romp through the mind of the "Lonely Stoner", although it doesn't come off that way, I'm sure that is the point of the album. "I've got some issues that nobody can see/And all of these emotions are pouring out of me, " get the picture?

I have to say Sean "Don't Call me Puffy" Combs did the damn thing with the production on this one. Sounds like the Thriller Beat went to a Rave with some Chuck Taylors and all of Slick Rick's Chains. To say the least, this is some good ole fashion fonky shyt. And Game's flow always reminds you that he could hold his own in any cypher. I'm in the sandbox doing the wop. Can anybody else see Nasir Jones in full wizard garb giving the spirit fingers to this track?

I'm gonna drive by really fast and throw this one out the window to all the Wayne fans. This is evidently the final version for Madonnas next LP, Celebration. Peace to the hardest working rapper in the world for collaborating with the one of the baddest women to ever do it. Not much when it comes to lyricism though. Who do you think?

Jay-Z – The Blueprint 3 (Album Review)
Longevity in Hip Hop is rare, especially in a time when youthful "Swagger" outweighs lyricism. Since the release date of Reasonable Doubt Shawn Corey Carter has been considered one of the best doing it. Year after year he would prove this point with the exception of Kingdom Come, which did have it's moments (the way Just Blaze chopped that Rick James sample for the title track was sick) but wasn't well received by the masses. Two years after the release of American Gangster Jay-Z is up to his...

The Passion of The Purple Tape: Raekwon – OB4CL II (Album Review)
I’ve seen pictures of Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. Hell I even thought I saw Tupac the last time I was in Los Angeles. It was not until I held my pre-ordered copy of Chef Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx PT. II in my hands did I believe that such a thing could even exist. I heard rumors of its existence but after 14 years of rumors and myths, I’m sure you can understand my skepticism. As I started the now extinct ritual of struggling with the cd packaging and listening to the ...
