  • E3 Day One Review: Nintendo
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted June 16th, 2010 at 10:40 am
Day one of the E3 Expo is in the books, and Tuesday was the day for the last two of the three major platforms to take the stage. Microsoft did a good job making sure that there was little pressure on Nintendo or Sony to bring the goods, but they went ahead and did their best to do it anyway. As the press conferences went on, I found myself getting lost in the moment and feeling like these two companies were leaving Microsoft in the dust, but as everything has wrapped up and I have had a chance t...

  • Do We Already Know All of the Major Announcements?
    by Jason Belec
    Posted June 14th, 2010 at 12:03 am
With the official opening of E3 2010 being just a mere hours away, I don’t know how hyped I still am after already knowing what will be announced. I mean, all the Microsoft rumors and leaks within the last few hours, and people already talking about what Sony and Nintendo plan to announce.  Will there be enough to wow the gaming community? Microsoft will be showing off Kinetic, formerly known as Project Natal, to the world. One of the biggest announcements by Microsoft is already a year o...
  • Top 10 TV Shows That Need Video Games
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted June 3rd, 2010 at 10:44 am
The inevitable blockbuster movie video game tie-in has become a much maligned breed in the gaming community. Some knock it out of the park, but most end up in the bargain bins pretty quickly. The allure of making a game based on a movie is obvious considering most tell an interesting story and have a lot of action. To my surprise, the video game market is one that has yet to really be tapped by primetime TV, even though there are plenty of shows that would seem like prime candidates for exploita...
  • Wayne Gretzky On The Cover of NHL Slapshot
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted June 2nd, 2010 at 10:32 pm
EA Sports has announced a new title for the Nintendo Wii titled NHL Slapshot, and that the games initial release will feature "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky on the cover. Details for the game are explained in the press release below (looks like they will have some sort of hockey stick controller): First EA SPORTS NHL Title on Wii to Include Hockey Stick Controller Electronic Arts Inc.  revealed today that EA SPORTS™ is developing their first ever NHL® hockey title for the Wii™ Console...
  • Iron Man 2 review
    by Jason.Joseph
    Posted May 23rd, 2010 at 6:55 pm
Whenever a blockbuster is being made, movie tie-ins are sure to follow, and to that effect, Ironman 2 has been no different than any other blockbuster in recent memory. Action figures, t-shirts, soda bottles, just about anything you can think of has seen a picture of the tin man strewn across it, so it should come as no surprise to see Iron Man 2: the video game is also in the repertoire. The game released in context with the first movie was a complete flop, as most movie tie-in games tend to be...
  • And The Madden 11 Cover Boy Will Be…
    by Jason.Joseph

According to a report in The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, New Orleans Saints Quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees has beaten out Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne and Minnesota Vikings Defensive End Jared Allen in a fan poll to see who would be on the cover of the Madden 2011 video game. This was the first year that the Madden franchise had incorporated fan voting into their cover decision. Stay tune for EA to announce and unveil the official cover....
  • Confirmed: Nintendo Working On New Hardware, Says Miyamoto
    by Sledge McCorde
    Posted February 8th, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Miyamoto recently confirmed the rumors that Nintendo were indeed working on new hardware. We first heard of reports of new hardware a few days ago, when an industry insider close to VideoGamer.com disclosed some information regarding a revelation at this year's Game Developer's Conference. Japanese gaming reporter site Andriasang attended the Annual Japan Media Arts Festival, where Nintendo boss Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that they were indeed working on something new. While we know it's not ...
  • NBA 2K10 Review (post patch)
    by Michael Ajibade
    Posted November 30th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
The NBA 2K series has been around for a decade now.  I still remember playing the initial entry for this and its football counterpart on the Sega Dreamcast (which I still own and play, Jet Grind Radio FTW).  I was hooked right away.  The realism and skill required was seen in no other basketball game before it.  Since then, I have played numerous iterations in this franchise and even got hooked on the college basketball series (R.I.P.).  Oddly, NBA 2K10: Draft Combine was the first basketba...
  • Kanye West and others make defenders “Paranoid” in NBA 2K10

"Yo NBA Live.  I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but I'm in NBA 2K10!"  That's what I imagine Kanye West said during an EA press release for their basketball game.  In all seriousness though (well, I am not sure if this even serious at all) here is a list of  MCs and DJs that will be playable in the game: David Banner Big Kuntry(from Grand Hustle Records) Don Cannon (DJ) Slim Thug Wale The Game Pitbull Twista Mims Asher Rother Kingsoul (kkz, sh...
