Mixtape Monday: XV – Pop Culture

New tunes! The dude XV is back with a new classic tape called Pop Culture. The mixtape is album quality and is definitely a must listen. Filled with plenty of 90’s pop culture references and great features. Pop Culture is a creative album and probably his best to date. With tracks like Ahh! Real Monsters and Zombieland rule 32 which samples Donkey Kong, you can tell XV is destined to blow up.

The BET Hip Hop Awards 11 “Cypher” Artists Leaked

The Cypher has always been the main attraction for the BET Hip Hop Awards to me. I’m a little shocked to see who’s on the list this year. Notable cypher’s have to be the Maybach Music cypher with no Triple C’s. Jay Rock, XV, Kendrick Lamar, Tech Nine, Dom Kennedy and Skillz finally getting some shine on BET. But the standout appearance has to be Lady of Rage. She’s been irrelevant for nearly 2 decades. I’m hoping it was just a typo and they meant to write Lady Gaga.
