Borderlands 2 Commando Ultimate Support Build

We spent hours studying the Borderlands 2 skill tree to help make your vault hunters unstoppable. Today I’m going to feature a Commando support build. In this Commando ultimate support build, your able to provide lots of protection for your party members and lay down some heavy fire from multiple turrets. We focus majority of your skill points in the survival tree. Hit the jump to get all the juicy details for this support build.

Investing in Preparation and Healthy works well with the Quick Charge kill skill. With Preparation your shield capacity is increased but when your shield is full you regenerate health. So we want to make sure our shields is full as possible. Killing an enemy causes your shields to regenerate real fast for  a short period of time. We’ll compliment the quick charge skill with the Onslaught kill skill. Onslaught increases your gun damage and movement speed for short period of time. So essentially with one kill your able to increase damage output and speed as well as regenerate your shield. This combo alone is enough to keep you on the battlefield for a very long time but we don’t stop there. Add the Able skill in the mix and your regenerating health every time you damage an enemy.

Now that your able to withstand the worse that Pandora throws at you, lets work on throwing some damage back by unleashing the Commando exclusive Sabre turret. By investing in the survival tree your able to increase you turrets cooldown rate, so you can throw your turret out more often. Your turret also throws out a bubble like shield that blocks ranged attacks. The shield is big enough to fit a few party members in as well. With the Mag-Lock feature you can deploy your turret on walls and ceilings. The essential skill to this build is the Gemini skill which allows you to deploy two sabre turrets. So we head back to the guerrilla tree and max out some turret upgrades like Sentry, Laser Sight and the ultimate upgrade Scorched Earth. Scorched Earth add rocket pods to your turrets arsenal. Imagine a room full of baddies encountering two rocket touting turrets?! Unstopable!

Ideal scenarios for this Commando support would be to drop a turret in an area where your party is in a firefight. The turret will enclose them in a shield and provide some heavy damage to assist. This gives you the opportunity to flank around and drop another turret. My favorite scenario is the death hallway. Throw a turret on the ceiling and one on the ground and watch the death count go up.

If you have a Borderlands 2 build you want to share, drop it here for to check out.
