Guild Wars 2 Collector’s Edition Unboxing
Happy Guild Wars 2 day! If you pre-purchased like a champ, you’ve probably been playing Guild Wars 2 for a few days now, but since today is the official release day, I figured I’d go pick up my physical copy of the game, which just so happened to be the Collector’s Edition of the game. I don’t really have a very good reason for purchasing the Collector’s Edition other than the fact that it looked cool as all hell, and fortunately for me, that was a good enough reason and I rolled with it. I say fortunately because… this thing is awesome. NCSoft just showed the industry how to do a Collector’s Edition! First, the super official listing of the contents:
Guild Wars 2 Collector’s Edition
- Collectible metal box
- 10-inch Rytlock figurine
- Custom art frame, portfolio, and five art prints
- Best of Guild Wars 2 Soundtrack CD and Guild Wars 2 Game
- 112 – page Making of Guild Wars 2 hardback book
So I don’t know who Rytlock Grimstone is quite yet, but he looks like a total badass in his very own special edition statue. I mean, his sword is a dragon that shoots flames. Does it get much better than that? The prints are pretty slick and I like the fact that it comes with a frame. The prints are not necessarily the best quality finish, but they will look nice framed. The game and the soundtrack are what you would expect. The tin case that it all comes in, now that was awesome. I am really excited to get going in this game. We’ll have more video soon, but for now, check out me fumbling through my unboxing of the Guild Wars 2 Collector’s Edition:
