Insomniac Games Debuts Fuse Trailer
Insomniac Games has unveiled the first trailer for their first ever original IP Fuse and well, things aren’t looking so well. It’s a shame too, because when the game was originally announced as Overstrike, it featured a brash, cocky and arrogant team of mercenaries for hire with lots of really cool toys and a cool, cartoony art style that made a lot of people take notice and become genuinely intrigued. Now rebranded as Fuse, this game has disaster written all over it. That may be a little unfair based on a simple, minute and a half video, but the truth is in the pudding. The response thus-far has been as negative a response I have ever seen to a game, with the dislikes outnumbering the likes in the video you will see below two-to-one. Maybe when they decide to show the characters interacting with one another instead of generic, boring gameplay, things will look better, but I almost feel bad for the folks at Insomniac, because they probably were not expecting the response their unveiling has elicited. Fuse is tentatively scheduled for release in March of 2013. It’s obviously too late to convince them to go back to what they were doing with Overstrike, which truly seems unfortunate.
