Overstrike changes name to Fuse, Teaser Trailer Within

At E3 2011, Insomniac Games created a bit of a buzz in the gaming world by announcing the start of a new IP called Overstrike. The game itself wasn’t what caused the stir, but the fact that Overstrike was set to see the company branch out into the world of the multiplatform. Famous for their work with the Ratchet and Clank and Resistance series, this will be the first time that Insomniac will time the company has developed an IP for themselves (through the EA partnership program) and on a platform other than Playstation.

It seems in the time since the debut trailer, the game has undergone some changes… namely in the… name. Overstrike will now be called Fuse, and a new site FuseGame.com shows the teaser trailer you will find below and a countdown timer set to hit zero at 9AM EST on Wednesday September 12th. I’m pretty interested to hear more, because I was very intrigued by what it looked like Overstrike had to offer. Just to refresh memories, I went ahead and included the debut trailer below/after the break as well. We’ll let you know when the countdown is over and more info is available!
