[UPDATE] PlayStation Adds More Mystery to the Equation with “The Arrival”
UPDATE: TimeEffect and Skidd of Neogaf, have confirmed that the text on the typewriter is actually the Lombax language from Ratchet and Clank, not Jak and Daxter. They also have a full translation of what was shown:
“Dear Copernicus, (Copernicus L. Qwark?)
We have received your letter and regret to inform you captai-
And it’s Captain Qwark’s rejection letter from the roster! How attentive of Superbot! Thanks to the guys at Neogaf for the translation!
First it was “Michael” then last week we got “The Reload” and now the PlayStation team has just released a new ad entitled “The Arrival”.
The Arrivals takes place where The Reload left off, with our mysterious snake-wearing lady going to work on her typewriter. Take note, the text that she’s writing seems to be from Jak and Daxter, all the while a caravan drives up outside her doorstep. She meets the man driving the caravan, who seems to be Nathan Drake, and the teaser ends.
That’s it. Pretty bare bones compared to our last teaser if I do say so myself. Nonetheless, it does seems to point at a new marketing campaign for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, that will kick start this Tuesday. Whatever it is, Sony’s got the hype train rolling!
