PS3 Super Slim Announced; Coming September 25th
Rumors of a new PS3 model to follow 2009′s Slim have been making their way around the internet as of late, but it wasn’t until now that Sony actually confirmed those rumors. Announced at Sony’s TGS 2012 Press Conference was the new PS3 Slim.
Boasting a design that enables it to be 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the current PS3 Slim, the new Slim will come in two flavors in the US – 250GB and 500GB – while the European market will also receive two SKU’s: 12GB and 500GB.
The new 250 GB PS3 Slim will be bundled with a copy of the newly released “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition” for only $269.99 this Tuesday. The aforementioned bundle will include the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition as well as a redeamable voucher for more than $30 of content for the downloadable Free-to-Play title “Dust 514.”
The 500 GB model will make its US debut alongside Assassin’s Creed 3 this October with a limited edition bundle that includes the game and console.
European PlayStation goers can pick up the 500 GB PS3 Slim as part of a €299.99 FIFA 13 Bundle that includes the game and console.
The 12GB console will makes its debut for only €229.99 at a later date. For those wondering how you’ll cope with 12GB of space, Sony has you covered.
