After the massive layoffs of the SCEA PR staff, the world wanted to know whats the next move for Sony and Playstation. Well it seems like the next step in the Playstation recovery plan was to remove all the street dates from the rest of this years products from Gamestop. Our tipster informed us that games like Little Big Planet Vita and hardware like the Pulse Headset not longer have street dates. What could this mean? Maybe Sony plans to market the rest of the 2012 lineup better with its new PR team and might need to push a few dates back. We reached out to Sony for a response and will update you when we get a response.
Update: The release dates haven’t been changed on Gamestop.com but if you call or go into your local Gamestop, they will confirm no release date at this time.
Update 2: It seems that some people have jumped the gun. This means that whenever the retailer you purchase your games at gets their next shipment, you can pick up the game or accessory regardless of its release date.
