The Last of Us Rated M With No Online Play

In the few hours since we got our first glimpse of “The Last of Us”, information has been coming from left to right, well guys we finally have some info about the networking and rating of this new Naughty Dog title. This game will not feature online play, that means no co-op, or competitive multiplayer of any kind, there’s still a possibility of local mutliplayer though. In addition to that, we can now confirm that this title will be rated M, or Pegi 18. “The Last of Us” will be Naughty Dog’s first M-rated title, it’ll be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves in terms of gore, blood, and violence. What do you guys think? Does this M rating make this title better than it would if it were rated T, or does the rating not matter?

Why should the rating make a game better?

COD: Its the Russians Again- Pegi 18

Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 and Skyrim- Pegi 16

One of the above peasants with the 16 rating is infinitely better than all of the COD games combined, all Treyarch/Infinity ward ever do is stick the design documents in a shredder then use the shreddings to construct a collage and sell it for 50 squid.

If  They made it “T” Young Naughty Dog Fans who realized Valve can’t count to three and that the Uncharted Franchise is over, could have something to cry upon.

I think that them M rating will help make it more realistic, the f bombs make the human enemies, as well as Joel and Ellie, more realistic, when your being chased by zombies, you don’t say ‘Motherfetcher’ and the gore – “Naughty Dog neither wants to shy away from gore nor exploit it in The Last Of Us” – gameinformer will help the realism as well, Uncharted is my favorite game of all time, and I understand why they toned down the gore a bit in it, but when you shoot someone with a rocket propelled grenade, mini-gun or shotgun at close range, they don’t give a minor spurt of blood, then fall down, bodies 100% intact, in the recent The Last Of Us game play footage, Joel point blanks a guy in the face with a shotgun, I paused it, and in the style of COD Army of Two and RDR Undead Nightmare, I’m pretty sure his head was blown to bits like a watermelon on Mythbusters.

Oh by the way, gameinformer said that there will be multiplayer “We’re going to have some sort of online component… We’re working on a bunch of ideas, but we haven’t nailed anything down. We definately know it’s going to be awesome.” -Game director Bruce Straley all this stuff is from issue 312, I don’t know what month that is.

My guess is, this game will be rated M for: Blood and Gore, intense violence, strong language, suggestive themes, alcohol reference, tobacco reference, and drug reference.
