Shocking Introduction: A First Look at the FREE XBLA Game Happy Wars

Strange things are a brewing in the world of Microsoft, as Friday marked the launch of a free Xbox Live Arcade game called Happy Wars developed by their own Microsoft Studios. That’s right, I said free. Complete with full on multiplayer, Happy Wars is a very cartoony take on hack and slash with a bit of tower defense for good measure. I decided that, since it is free, I might as well give the game a go, and I have to say that I was pretty surprised at the fun factor at hand. The game is by no  means revolutionary, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t have a good time. I don’t know if it is something I’ll play a lot of, but I am definitely glad I didn’t write it off completely.
