Vita YouTube App Now Available on the PlayStation Store
Earlier this month, Sony announced that the Vita will be getting YouTube support through a dedicated application. At the time they said the application would be available “sometime at the end of June” which would be about now! The YouTube Application is now available on the PlayStation Store and my is it marvelous. The application allows Vita users to view videos in SD and HD, full screen, and side-by-side with the comments, ratings, and related videos tab.
While the application is definitely a welcome addition to the Vita’s increasing number of dedicated apps, it could use some improvement. Absent from the app is the ability to upload your own video straight from the Vita and even view profiles. The exclusion of these key features does take away from the experience but just having the app is good for now. Hit the gallery below for some screenshots!
